BREAKING NEWS!!! ASUU BEGINS INDEFINITE NATIONWIDE STRIKE

After few hours of NUPENG declaring support for NLC, saying they would follow the directive of NLC if they decide to embark on an indefinite strike. 

ASUU was not left out as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared an indefinite nationwide strike.  

According to the organization, the strike is to protest the poor funding of Nigerian universities. 

The protest which was led by the National President of the union, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, declared the strike at the end of the National Executive council (NEC) meeting held at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in ondo state. 

All academic staff of universities were directed to withdraw their services immediately.
