BLOODY BIRTHDAY AS 3 DIES, 8 INJURED IN BIRTHDAY BASH

A birthday party clash took place at Lushi ward in Bauchi state on Sunday night and reportedly claimed 3 lives and left 8 people injured.
Bauchi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Kamal Abubakar who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the birthday party clash was caused by a misunderstanding among some youth at the event which took place in Kusu area of Sakani before spreading to other parts of Yelwa Ward.
DSP Kamal Abubakar who further disclosed that investigation was ongoing to get to the root of the crisis, revealed that two houses were burnt before the incident was brought under control.
“What actually happened was that yesterday, in the night, some group of persons were celebrating at a birthday party at Lushi area, during which they had a misunderstanding, and in the process a fight erupted among them,” he said.
"As a result of the fight three people were killed, two houses and a car were burnt, while five persons were injured.
NAN reported that a federal civil servant who worked at the Federal Secretariat in Bauchi, is said to be among those killed during the fight. The civil servant who earlier relocated his family to a safe area following tension in the area, was however killed on his return by the irate youths who also burnt the deceased’s house.
Eyewitness reported that the fight was initiated by two young men who were fighting for the interest of a young lady.
