WOMAN BURNS HOUSEBOY WITH IRON FOR DRINKING HER 7UP

A 12 years old houseboy, Friday Obi, was dealt with by his aunty for drinking her soft drink. The aunt whose name is Sarah Eteigbe has been arrested by the police for allegedly placing a hot iron on the young boys body to serve as a punishment. 

According to vanguardngr, Obi was brought in from IMO state 4 years ago to live with his 35-year-old aunty who is a trader. She stays in her one-room apartment at 17 Mutairu street,  Pedro,  Bariga. 

It was gathered that the young boy barely settled when Sarah allegedly started beating him. Sarah has been cautioned severally by her landlord and Obi's teacher for always inflicting the boy with injuries whenever she beats him. 
Last Friday it became worse after teachers noticed bloodstains on Obi's uniform, when he was asked what had happened, he disclosed that his aunty burnt him with hot pressing iron for drinking a 7up without her permission due to hunger.

The Local Government Education Authority at Shomolu contacted Coordinator of the Child protection Network, Mr.  Toyin Okanlanwon, who reported the matter to the police. 

Neighbors also complained about her heartless attitude as she always prevent the boy from playing with other kids by placing a sharp edge of 6 inches nail on the door inother to prevent other kids from coming to call Obi. 

Speaking to the police,  Obi described his ordeal in the hands of his aunt, who he said always beats him at the slightest opportunity. He also disclosed that his aunt cut him with razor blade for returning back from school late. 

Sarah has since been remanded at the Ikoyi female prison after being charged to court. She was granted N200,000 bail but she is yet to meet her bail condition. The case was adjourned till 3rd of December.
