NLC TO RESPOND TO GOVERNORS OVER MINIMUM WAGE

The leadership of the Nigerian Labour congress has said that they would address the press on Wednesday to respond to the offer of the new minimum wage of N22,500 by state governors.
NLC said in a notice inviting the media that the leadership will address a press conference over the minimum wage crisis.
Shortly after the governors decision was announced, the General secretary of NLC, Peter Essom was contacted by the congress and he said they are yet to receive any communication on the issue from the governors.
Labour congress who proposed a new minimum wage of N30,000 were ignored as the 36 state governors settled for N22,500 as new minimum wage after their meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.
